First June 2025 Update

I've been so busy with life lately. As we all know it's Pride Season! And this past weekend was our local Pride festival. Unfortunately I had no time to really bask in my own pride and enjoy myself- I had to work Saturday! I'd've been fine if I could've opened, or even do the mid-day shift- instead I had to close. On top of that, I had a training for another job I have that same morning! My Saturday went like this: 9am wake up, 920am leave apartment, 930am start drive to training, 10am training, 11am start driving back home, 1130am wait in line for Pride to open at noon, 12pm torrential downpouring and get inside to Pride festival grounds, 1pm leave Pride for work, 2pm clock into work, 930 clock out of work. On the bright side, I did buy some cookies at Pride earlier that day so I ate one as soon as I was walking home from work. By the time I got inside, I was high as a kite. But that was just Saturday.
Sunday we went to church and then I had tutoring afterward. Then the rest of the day I've been letting the residual high finally hit the road. Now it's just past midnight and I've added no words to any work this month I fear. I really should try looking for time to write- I just feel like I have none. Anyway, check out my AO3 for my The Hunger Games fanfic The Mentor Games where Katniss has to watch her mom go into the Quarter Quell- I've been posting updates there every Tuesday @dukeofthedisco.
That's all I've got, and make sure to check out Chapter 4 of What Do You Fear? Also, after taking the first chapter to a critique group I'm finally noticing the lack of editing on my part. However, I'm not trying to publish unpolished work on here, that will be saved for if/when I have a What Do You Fear? compendium to publish. (Yes I already have ideas for a Part 2 and a Part 3, but I will get through Part 1 first!
